Not-so-gently-used excuses

It's amusing that the Vatican took a page from the apologists for Israeli abuses and compared criticism of pedophile priests to anti-Semitism in the hope of shutting it down. I guess the Catholic hierarchy thought, "Well, it works for them; why not give it a shot?"
